Van Alkemare Horecamakelaardij & Bedrijfsmakelaardij is a family business at heart. The company was founded in 1986 by Piet Zuurbier, who was the eldest of fourteen children. In 1990 the brokerage was transferred to his younger brother Nico Zuurbier. Nico in turn handed over the company to his son Nick Zuurbier in 2011. Nico still performs his activities as a broker/advisor within the company.

The brokerage is now part of the Van Alkemare Group, consisting of the Horecamakelaardij & Bedrijfsmakelaardij, Horeca Advice and Property Management divisions.

Van Alkemare developed an application to structure their questionnaires, taxations and customer agreements. TechRebels supports Van Alkemare Group with the development of their application and integration with other data sources.
